The fact that all roads lead to Paeroa, making it a centre which is equally becoming more important as the district around it grows, has. caused the local business people, who recognise the unique position of their town, to make it a centre to which the settlers in the vast and wonderfully fertile district will be Attracted. They are out to cater for all'trade, and have spared no efforts to guarantee- satisfaction. Ths spirit of Christmas is already abroad and the rush of Christmas spending commenced. Seldom, if ever, have the shops been called on to meet. such demands from an eagen-buying yet discriminating public, and never before have they been so amply stocked with all that the season of giving requires. It is anticipated that Christmas this year will be the merriest for years, as all classes of the community are sharing in renewed and abounding prosperity. All are determined to make this Yuletide memorable, a carnival of happiness, and to make it as completely joyful as Christmas should be. Paeroa business people are endeavouring to help their town grow. Keeping their premises well stocked with all necessities, comforts, and luxuries, and making every effort to please their present and prospective customers are big factors in the growth of the town. To-day, and again on Friday, will be published for the information and guidance of the buying public a series of interesting announcements of what shopkeepers aro offering. Study the suggestions offered of what to give, and make Paeroa your shopping centre—at the same time remembering that the town that is good enough to live in should be good enough to shop in.
