PERMANENT ROADING.
lIORAHIA ADOPTS SCHEME. LOAN POLL CARRIED. A poll of the ratepayers of the Horahia riding of the Hauraki Plains County Council on a proposal to borrow the sum of £28,600 for the purpose of improving, metalling, and bitqmen sealing the whole of the roads of the riding, was held on Wednesday last- The poll was carried there being 55 votes for the proposal and 20 against it. There are about 50 ratepayers in the riding, and the rate required as security for the loan is 334 d in the £ on the unimpoved value. With the carrying of this proposal authority has how been given to construct a continuous stretch of permanent road from Ngatea bridge to the Orongo ferry.
