HAYMAKING MACHINERY.

LABOUR-SAVING DEVICES., Messrs Sampson of Ngaruawuhia, intended staging an exhibit of their machinery at the show, but, unfortunately, they have advised that , at the last moment they were unavoidably prevented from making the journey to Paeroa. Messrs Sampson Bros, wish to announce that they have an outstanding feature in their patent stacking grab, which is used in conjunction with the usual mast and boom so essential to farmers during the harvesting season. This patent grab, together . with other gear, provides the simplest and most effective stacking outfit on the market. Three men can erect the mast and rig the boom in half an hour, and this surely is a recommendation to the busy farmer, who is always anxious to complete his haymaking, etc., in the shortest possible time. The Sampson Grab represents a great advance on anything of a similar nature at present on the market. The simplicity of the tripping and locking device will commend itself to all having experience with this kind of apparatus. Properly handled, the locking is practically automatic when the grab is dropped on the hay. Another feature of this excellent labour-saver is that it is constructed of spring steel throughout, with ■the exception of the sole board, which is of oregon or heart of rimu, well ironed and braced, and will doubtless stand a lot of hard usage. Full particulars and photographs will be supplied an application. Telephone No.. 33, Ngaruawahia, for a price-list.
