THE SHOW.

ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED. ENJOYABLE OUTING ASSURED. The success of the Hauraki A. and P. Show, which is to be held in the Paeroa Domain on Wednesday anl Thursday, is fully assured, barring unfavourable weather conditions, and splendid entries have been received for the various classes. The Sh rthorn classes show an increase on last year’s figures, as also do the entries for the milch sjtock classes. The fat cattle classes are producing a number of entries, and it is anticipated that keen competition for the coveted honours will take place, among the local butchers especially. Good entries have been received for the various ring events, and it is very gratifying to learn that many of the competitors at the recent Waikato Summer Show, held in Hamilton, have ’ entered their horses for the various events at our local show. Competition is bound to be keen, and it augurs well for the success of the show that the equine competitions should be so keenly sought after by competitors from outside the Thames Valley and Hauraki Plains districts. The pony classes have received splendid support, and no doubt the various events, will be keenly contested. Applications for side-shows and trade exhibits have been received in satisfactory numbers, so it is evident that there will be ample attraction for the thorough- enjoyment of all. . The officials have spared no pains to provide adequate seating accommodation, and the comfort of patrons has been carefully studied as far as circumstances would permit. Complete arrangements have been made for efficient catering, and as hot waler is to be supplied, opportunities are offered fo those who desire to bring their lunches and picnic in the. shade of the many beautiful trees in. the showground. On Thursday evening the association intends to entertain visiting judges and officials to a smoke concert.
