As illustrating the Jack of a community of interest between places only seven miles apart it is interesting to note that the ladies of the Turua and Netherton branches, of the Presbyterian Church Guild have been, unknown to each other, preparing for months for a sale of work, and that each guild chose the same day for its bazaar. At the switching, on of the lights for night play at the Paeroa Bawling Green on Saturday evening the president (Mr W. T. Power), in the course of his remarks, said that if the club continued to make the progress that it has recently it was anticipated that an additional green would be put down, when arrangements would be taken In hand for holding the south Auckland Bowling Tournament in Paeroa. As a result of the deputation from the Turua Ratepayers’ Association waiting upon the Northern Steamship. Co. a steamer has been placed on the Turua-Auckland run instead of. a scow, and cargo for Turua will also be brought by the Paeroa boat. Having a considerable number ol’ good and useful articles; over from the bazaar, the members of the StPaul’s Ladies’ Guild are disposing of them at a stall on the show grounds on Thursday next.*
