BRENAN SHIELD COMPETITION. At a meeting of skips elected oy ballot of the members of the club the following teams were chosen to take part in the Brenan Memorial Shield competition:— A Section. —Hart, Grant, Pascoe, Cane (skip) ; Holes, Say, Purdie, Busby (skip) ; Stansfield, Robson, Le Cocq, Wells (skip) ; Bayfield, Black, Brown, Williams (skip) ; iSing, Peacock, Pivott, W. H. Taylor (skip) ; Morland, Blackburn, Olsen, Towers (skip). B Section. —Thwaites, Ellis, W* Turner, Power (skip) ; Somervell, Lawrence, Hale, G. H. Taylor (skip) ; Vowles, H. Hayward, Chamberlain, F. Hayward (.skip); Mettam, Thorp, Gibb, Pinder (skip) : Phillips, Edwards, Dr. Smith, de Castro (skip). The A section will play tc-morrow, 17th inst., when the teams selected by the following skips will meet to try conclusions : Busby v. Wells, W. H. Taylor v. Cane, Williams v. Towers. The other players will take part in ordinary* draw games.
