Public Notices. COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS NOTICE o/INTENTION TO BORROW. Loan of £25,000 over the Machinery Loan No. 2 Special Rating Area for the acquisition of Machinery., Plant, and Equip- - jnent for the getting and obtaining of road-m'aking material, for the transport of same, and for the construction of roads. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN—1. THAT it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council. under the.provision of “The Counties Act, 1920,’’ “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” and amendments thereof respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in’that behalf enabling to borrow the sum of £25,000 for the purpose of acquiring machinery, plant and equipment as follows: a. For the getting and obtaining of road making material and the transport of such road making material £22,000 b. For the construction of roads £3,000. £25,000 2. THAT as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan, it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special rate of 5-9ths (fiveninths) of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the Machinery Loan No. 2 Special Area as hereinafter described. - 3. THAT it is the intention of the Council to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest'and sinking fund for the first year. ■l. THAT the loan is for a period of 3&J years at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under Section 11 of the Finance Act, 1921, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking, fund. The boundaries of the said Special Rating Area are as follows : Commencing at a point midway in the mouth of the Waitakaruru Stream where it is intersected by the northern boundary of the County, thence proceeding in an easterly, southerly, and westerly direction by the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of the County to the Piako River, thence in a northerly direction down the Piako River to a point in line with the Pouarua Road, thence by a right line to and along the Pouarua Road to the southern boundary of Pipiroa Riding, thence in a westerly and north-westerly direction along the southern and western boundaries of Pipiroa Riding to the point of commencement. PURPORT OF RESOLUTION. To declare, under the powers conferred by the “Noxious Weeds Act, 1908,” Fennel, Gorse, Ox-eye Daisy, and Ragwort to be noxious weeds within the County of Ohinemuri.
