NETHERTON ROADS.
tTo the Edltorj Fir, —In jour issue of November 2 M> wynyard is reported to say a poll had been carried to raise a loan < f £45,000 to tar-seal 50 mPris of road ir> the Netherton riding. I feel certain that Mr Wynyard has not, reen correctly reported, as he is fully conversant with the conditions of the roads and people of the Netherton riding: and he knows just as well as you and I do that this loan is going to be turned down. We need good roads, and need them badly; but we must have roads that we can pay for, and I am suie we can cut .this proposed ‘ loan in half and have all the Yoads we re .Hiro. I edn see a saving of over £5OOO on one piece of road alone. H. E. HILL.
