PLamb. Mrs W. Barclay was the successful player in the B team, and received the trophy donated by Ml? McGruer. A delicious afternoon tei was served in the pavilion, in the shelter of which small tables yfere set. The decorations were very daint|y, and were much admired. The success of the afternoon’s pleasure was due in no small measure to the organisation of the club secretary, Mrs G. H. Taylor, and the committee. Complimentary references were accorded the green superintendent!, Mr W. Hamilton, on the excellent state of the lawns, especially in view of the wet weather and the lateness of the season.
