HOPAL TENNIS CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Hopai Tennis Club, held recently, the following officers were elected: President, Mr L. S. Bidwell; vice-president, Mr J. Dawson ; secretary and treasurer, Mr D, A. Waite ; club captain, Mr A. R, Vowles; general committee, the officers and Messrs Murphy and Wade and Mesdames Bidwell, Murray, and Vowles; match committee, Messrs Murray and Vowles ; delegate to Tennis Association, Mr A R. Vowles. Several improvements to the courts were decided upon, and the opening date was fixed as October 20. KEREFREHL RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the executive of the Kerepeehi Ratepayers’ Association and Residents’ Progress League was he’d last evening. Rules for .the association were , discussed and new rules adopted for confirmation at the general meeting. Matters discussed "with a .view to being brought— before the general meeting included postal facilities, a benefit function for a deserving case, facilities in case of accident, amalgamation with other bodies, and the domain.
