As the result of shock following injure® caused by a reaping machine which he father was driving Thomas Hardy, 4, died at Durham County Hospital. It was stated that the boy had been taken out pf a cornfield into which he had strayed. He made his way back to it again, and hid among the corn. The reaping machine came along, and the knife almost severed his leg and caused other injuries. At the hospital his leg was amputated, but death occurred sdon atferwards.
