DROWNING ACCIDENT.

FATALITY AT PIPIROA. YOUNG MAN LOSES HIS LIFE At about eleven o’clock last night at Pipiroa a young man named Samuel Vernon Dent was discovered to be missing from the launch which had arrived from Thames. Deceased w'as a single man about 26 years of age and for the last three years had been employed by the Lands and Survey Department. He was an Australian by birth, and it is believed ne had relatives at Whangarei. Dragging . operations are -in progress, but so far no trace of the body can been found.
