PAEBOA OFFICE* THE MONTH’S FIGURES. The quantity: of butter-fat handled at the Paeroa office for the month of August, 1923, totalled 329,4811 b, of which 44,3221 b was supplied in conznectiori with cheese-making. Notwithstanding the adverse weather conditions experienced, the total shows a substantial increase of 12,4251 b over the same month last year. The value of the butter-fat payment amounted to £24,353. MARKET PROSPECTS. ' The prices obtaining on the Etag- , lish market are exceedingly strong at the present time and indications are that the high prices will be maintain- , ed until the middle of December. The London manager’s cable for this week shows butter realising 209 s and cheese 1225. . r _ Owing to the #ise policy adopted by the London manager in holding over, stocks on hand at May 31 last the suppliers will receive a further small payment when the full stocks have been disposed of, as the prices realised have exceeded the value placed on the unsold stocks for balance--sheet purposes.
