NIGHTSOIL SERVICE.

Sir, —I noticed in your issue of September 17 a letter protesting against the early hour at which the “night-cart” makes its nocturnal parade through the thoroughfares of our town. Disregarding the episode cf Sunday night, I have on previous occasions when having pause to go down the street at night met this unwelcome and positively disgraceful nuisance at the early hour of nine o’clock. It is scandalous that this ’thing is allowed to come out at an hour when even the younger element are about. I quite agree with “Anti” when he says that this sort of thing should be stopped. CIVIS.
