ENTERTAINMENTS.
CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES TO-NIGHT. THE JILT. A story of two war heroes, one M them whole in body and mind, and the other crippled by the loss of his eyesight and mentally dwarfed by the 10-o of his morals is to be screened this evening. THE LEATHER PUSHERS. The second round of the new “Leather Pushers” is also on the programme. Where H. C. Witwer’s stories delighted thousands in their magazine form the film versions are delighting millions. SATURDAY NIGHT. WHILE SATAN SLEEPS. “While Satan Sleeps,” taken from the story by Peter Kyne, features Jack Holt. This is undoubtedly this actor’s best picture, and one that should not be missed. MADAME X. “Madame X,” starring Pauline Frederick. In the title role as the wife and mother who made the one great mistake that ended in a court of justice on trial for her life on a charge of murder, Pauline Frederick has the greatest dramatic role of her brilliant stage career.
