INTER-CLUB MATCH. PAEROA Vi WAIHI. An inter-club match between the Paeroa and Waihi golf clubs was played on Saturday and resulted in a victory for the visitors, who won by 9 games to 5, three matches being all .square. This was the first inter*club match played on the local links this year, and should tlie fine weather continue it will be possible to arrange matches with other neighbouring clubs before the seas.on finishes. The following were the results of the maitjehes played, the names of the Waihi players being mentioned first. Men.—Cullen and H. S. Budd, all square : E. A. Wilson beat R. L. Miller. 4 and 3 ; Morgan lost to W. R. Dates, 8 and 6 ; Shergold beat H. G. Somervell, 1 up; W. M. Jackson beat A, Steedman, 2 and 1 ; D. Marshall and J. L. Hanna, all square ; G. Brown beat S. J. Hedge, 3 and 1 ; Hazard beat S. J. Bishop, 2 and 1 ; J. E, Redpath lost to I. Towers, 2 down ; Loirimer, beat. C. Kenny. Tl adies—Mrs Ball beat -Miss L. Thorp, 2 up ; Mrs Morgan lest to Mrs F. S. Budd, 1 down; Mrs E. A. Wilson beat Miss D. Poland, 5 and 4 ; Mrs Toy lost to Mr,s J- W. Silcock, 5 and 4 ; Mrs J. E. Redpa,th lost to Miss E. Walmsley, 4 and 2 ; Miss M. Patterson and Mrs E. Edwards, all square ; Mrs Hayward beat Miss L. Buchanan, 3 and 2. The monthly medal match will be played on Saturday next, over 18 holes. Players to arrange their own partners.
