Including crews of vessels, 76,732 persons arrived in New Zealand from overseas during the year 1922, and 69.346 departed, .the gain by migration for the year being thus 7386. Male arrivals outnumbered female by 42,498, but a male excess of 42,474 among the departures almost equalled this.
