The many friends of Mrs A. L. Mitchell, of Paeroa, will be sorry to hear that this morning she was admitted to the Thames Hospital suffering from diphtheria, following a severe attack of quinsy. Mr G. S. Taiboys, who has recently relumed from Dunedin, where he was called on account of the serious illness of his father,, received word on Saturday to say that his father had passed away at the age of 78 years.
