A boy, named James Quintali, aged 8, son of Mr Richard Quintali, of Waihi, got his foot caught between the spokes of his bicycle, and in trying to gev it out cut the flesh to the bone. Blood poisoning set in, and on Friday the lower part of the leg had to be amputated.
