FOOTBALL.
PAEROA RUGBY UNION. SPECIAL COMMITTEE MEETING. A special meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union Committee was held on Friday last, there being present: Messrs J. Walmsley (chairman), H. M. Shand, B. Neil, C. Potter, G,. Jenkinson, W. Power, and E. Moore. An apology was received from the secretary. The objeot bf the meeting was to consider the case of C. Benjamin, who was ordered off the field for rough plax in the Komata v. Suburbs senior match on Saturday, June 23. After considerable discussion it was decided that the player be suspended for two playing Saturdays. ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Committee was held on Monday last. Present: Messrs J. Walmsley (chairman), C. Potter, H. M. Shand, P. Vuglar, G Jenkinson, W. Morrison, B. Neil, E. Moore, and the secretary. U was decided that both the senior and third grade representative teams travel to Te Aroha by the mid-day train on Saturday (to-morrow), Mr W. Morrison being manager. On July 14. the date of the Thames Valley v. Waikafo match at Hamilton, it was decided tp invite a Piakn “B” team to play in Paeroa. The state of the No. 1 ground m the Domain was the subject -of considerable discussion, and Mr Shanti and the chairman were elected a subcommittee to investigate the possibilities of obtaining another ground in the town. It was decided to hold 1 a social at an early date, and Mr !•. Poland and the secretary were elected to investigate and fix a suitable date and nominate a committee at the next meeting. ♦ The following junior games will be played to-morrow: Karangahake v. Netherton (Mr R. .B. Penlington), at Ne'herton. . East v. West (Mr B. Moore), at Paeroa. Suburbs a bye.
