HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers Auctioneering Co..reports :— At IJamilton sale on Tuesday last a larger entry came forward than was anticipated. Sheep of all classes' were_ well represented and brought strong competition. The beef consisted mainly of a few pens of fat cows and a great number of unfinished steers,- which sold well with the exception of a couple of pens of calves. No other cattle were yarded.
The following prices were realised : Heavy 'fat ewes 3<Hs 3d to 31s 9d, lighter-and unfinished 26s 6d;. very forward hoggets • and 23s 6d, smaller 19s 3d; forward to fat steers (no prime quality) £5 6s to £6 15s; fat cows £4 to £5 17s 6d ; store cows £1 Is to £1 10s; calves 295, Pigs continue to bring good values under brisk bidding. Heavy baconers made from £4 5s to £4 12s„ medium weighs £3 12s to £4 4s; heavy porkers to light bacotiers £2 10s to £3 10s,; medium porkers £2 5s to £2 9s, light £1 17s to £2 4s, unfinished 23s to 32s ; weauers 13s 6dP
