NETHERTON RIDING.
(To the Editor.) .-? Sir,—lt is not good judgment or common sense tp. L send a man to Ngatea to discuss the ways and means and good rule and government for Netherton riding. The centralising of county ridings near to Ngatea is reasonable, , but Netherton,, with banks, post office, courthouse, two municipal chambers,, railway junction, public works departments, parks, recreation grounds, library, printing, manufacturing, commercial, and legal houses in i.ts own town (Paeroa), is in a very different position. Now that Netherton riding has been reduced and is a day’s journey from Ngatea (in the the time is cherry ripe to join up with Ohinemuri,. with its municipal chamber 3 and staff in Paeroa. I. have not found any sound reason in the jibe that asking to go back would be humiliating. Remaining in. the present position is worse —it's absurd nonsense. CON.
