PERSONAL.
Mr. S. H. Morgan,, who is at present an inmajte of the Thames Hospital, is making a satisfactory recovery after an pperation. Mr R. Phillips, proprietor of the Paeroa Cash Sawmills, has received word that his father is dangerously ill' in Feilding. Mr Phillips left for that town to-day. Mr Harold Hill, the Auckland ■tenor, is at present on a visit to Paeroa, and will sing the solo “If with all your hearts,” from the Elijah, at the evensong at St. Paul’schurch on Sunday next. Mr Maurice Ralph, representing Messrs J. C. Williamson, Ltd., and Mr Harry Cohen, of New York, were in town yesterday making arrangements for the production of Cosmo Hamilton's famous 3-act comedy “Scandal” in the Central Theatre on Tuesday, July 3.
