MEAT PACKING COMPANY
TO RESUME OPERATIONS. The New Zealand Meat Packing Company, which suspended operations some time ago, and subsequently went info voluntary liquidation,, has been able to make satisfactory arrangements by which their bacon factories have been able to resume operations. Recently there has been good demand for hams and bacon from Australia. Several thousands of carcases of hogs have been shipped to the United Kingdom in recent months, which has proved very encouraging to pig farmers. Values at principal saleyards in the Dominion have been very firm, and it is obvious that there is great scope for exploiting the British market. The company expects to do well with this branch of business, and give a fair return to those who have stood by it.
