House' Peters plays the difficult part of Toin Logan, a simple, lovable son of the Ozark Mountains, who goes,about the world with a wonderful confidence in mankind. A woman comes into his life, a city woman wise hi the ways of the world, who. plans to gain control of his rich coal lands. She weds him and then makes his life miserable, finally eloping with an ex-con-vict. In attempting to stop the pair t,he aged father of Tbm is killed. Believing his wife guilty Tom takes the blame. From this point on the story proceeds to a remarkable-climax, the action marked by the greatest suspense and dramatic interest. WEST OF CHICAGO. The second attraction is “West of Chicago,” starring Charles Jopes. The theme of the story can be summed up in the words " When rogues meet lest honest men beware.’? The scenes are laid along the Mexican border. Some of the outstanding points in this photoplay are Charles Jones’ daring leap from a horse to a moving train.
