SATURDAY’S RESULTS- ' Despite the damp, wintry condi- * tions prevailing last Saturday there v was a fair gathering of Rugby enthusiasts to -witness the games played e on the Domain. Several heavy showfell which considerably reduced the attendance, demonstrating the ? great need there is for shelter. The question of building a pavilion, or,at least a suitable dressing shed, might ; well be urged on the Domain Board, ? by the football authorities. From the spectators’ point of view it is decidedly unpleasant to be compelled to stand on the line to watch a match , on a 1 wet afternoon. The Domain Board has long promised improvements tp the playing ,areas under its control. The Rugby Union should be encouraged to put its whole weight .into urging the Domain Board to improve ground facilities. Despite.the slippery nature of the - ground and the greasy condition. of the ball some exciting games were - played. Even if science in the-finer points of the game was lacking, unbounded enthusiasm prevailed. . Tne following are the results of the matches played under the Paeroa Rugby Union :— -1 Seniors. —West 9, v. Suburbs 0 (Mr' Penlington), played at Paeroa; Komata 8, v.
