EXCHANGE OF ROADS.
THE APPLICATION GRANT®®. At the meeting of the Ohinemuri Co'unty Council on Thursday last an application for an exchange of roads was received from Mr G. Buchasian. The application stated Uiat Mr Buchanan proposed to open a new road from Onslow street, in the borough, through the municipal reserve and his land.- In exchange for this he asked for a portion of the old Goldfields boundary line to be closed so as to make the apea contiguous. Portion of the goldfields line had already been closed, so the present road was a dead end, and as a road line was impracticable. ■ The proposed new road was practically upon the line of the present track used by the public. In order to make themselves acquainted with what was really asked for the members of the Council went over and viewed the ground) and at the subsequent meeting of ttye Council passed a resolution consenting to the exchange, provided, the Council was in no way put to any expense.
