CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES. TONIGHT. THE MARRIED FLAPPER. “The Married Flapper,” featuring the popular actress Marie Prevost, is is to be screened this evening. Also on the programme is a Century Comedy. TO-MORROW NIGHT. LADDIE. "Laddie,” starring -Miss Sydney Fairbrother, is to be screened tomorrow night. The sitpry is one of the clean, heart-throb kind that we see only too rarely in picture theatres, and Miss Sydney Fairbrother! as the little pld mother who is very proud of her successful son, but much too humble to intrude herself on him, gives one of the best character portrayals that the screen has so far yielded. The sets are very good, and altogether this film shows what can be done with film production in Britain. MONDAY NIGHT. THE SHEIK. On Monday next, May 7, Rudolf Valentino will be presented in “The Sheik,” which picture has been accepted as the greatest film sensation of recent years. There is np. necessity to dwell upon “The Sheik,” for it is a picture that, has made a household word. The prices for Monday night have been fixed ait, 2s and Is 6d (plus tax), children half price. CAPITOL PICTURES. NGATEA PUBLIC HALL. THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS. At Ngatea to-night "The Last of the Mohicans,” from the novel by James Fenimore Copper, will be presented. This is not merely a motion picture—it is a history re-lived — it is one of those rare masterpieces of silent art which from time to time emanate from inspired genius. Magua, the friend ; Uncas, the blameless ; Cora, the lovely paleface maiden, with her “fair-haired sister” ; Hawk-eye, tjie trapper and scout; Chingachgook and Tamenund. They come and go. There are thrills when the hundreds of naked, glistening braves massacre the women and children, When Chingachgook and Magua fight their duel. When Uncas shoots the crippled Huron out of the tree tops, and his act of mercy betrays their presence to the enemy. When Magua, Uncas, and Cora ffight out their last great, fight on the lip of the thousand-foot cliff. sVhen Cora and Uncas, parted in life by barrier of race, find the consummation pf their love in the final hand-clasp of death. NETHERTON PUBLIC HALL. HEART OF THE HILLS. At Netherton on Monday night Maty Pickford in “Heart of .the Hills” will be presented.
