FOOTBALL.
PAEROA RUGBY UNION. ' MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held on Tuesday. Present, Messrs H. M. Shand, C. Potter, B. Neil, G. Jenkinson, W. Power, E. Moore, P. Vuglar, and the secretary. An apology was received from the chairman, Mr J. Walmsley. A letter was received from the Komata Club stating that unflnancial members of that club were playing for another club. It was decided to suspend those players until arrears of subscriptions were paid. Permission was given for a third grade team from Thames to play a Paeroa third grade team on Saturday, May 12. The third grade selector was instructed to arrange a Paeroa team. Mr R. Chamberlain was appointed senior seletcor. The gatekeeper complained that last year many of the public passed through the gates as players. It was decided, that this year the selector or captain of each team be provided with eighteen tickets, whereby he could let his team into the ground, no players to be admitted free without a ticket. Tickets will be in the custody of the gatekeeper. Owing to an alteration in the original draw the following are~ the matches for next Saturday:— Seniors. —Netherton v. Komata, at Netherton, Mr Eklund referee; Suburbs v. West, at Paeroa, Mr R. B. Penlington referee. Juniors. —Netherton v. East, at Paerpa, No. 2 ground, 3 P..m, Mr B. Neil referee; Komata v. Karangahake, at Karangahake, Mr E. Smith referee; West v. Suburbs, at Hikutaia, Mr E. Moore referee. Third Grade. —'West v. East, No. 1 ground, ait 1.45 p.m. All third grade players to be weighed before taking part in the match.
