S. PAUL’S CHURCH.

PARISHIONERS.’ MEETING. The annual meeting ofi parishioners of St. Paul’s Church was held on Tuesday evening. The vicar, the Rev. F. B. Dobson, presided. The annual report and balancesheet showed that particularly good progress had been made curing the year. The general offerings were slightly in excess of the previous year, and the missionary quota had been well maintained. The Memorial Chur'.h building fund now had a total of £283 3s 7d in hand. At the present time the total indebtedness of the parish was just’under £6O. It was expected that this amount would be cleared off in the near future, when, for the first time in 27 years, the Church would be out of debt. During the year the vicarage had been, painted, the old shingles on the- roof of the church replaced by new corrugated iron, electric light installed in the church and parish hall, and the final payment made in connection with the vicarage loan. Funds were being raised for the .improvement of the east end of the° church. Special thanks were accorded the members of the Ladies’ Guild for their untiring efforts and valuable work accomplished, to the Sunday School' teachers and workers, layreaders, Mr R. W. Evans, organist, and choir members, and to .all those who assisted by collecting funds for the work of the church. The following officers were elected : Vicar’s warden, Mr. W. H. Blakeway , people’s warden, Mr C. Moorhouse, vestry, Messrs C. Gwilliam,. W. <T. Ellis, G. N. Hart, L. C. Cane, F. Thorp, J. H. A. Kennedy, J. Hubbard, and E. Edwards; auditor, Mr W. L. " Lawrence. the president and the secretary of the Ladies’ Guild were also elected ex-officio members of the vestry. Delegates to the Waikato Archdeaconry, Dr. T.' G. Smith, of Paeroa, and Mr E. J. Smith, of Wharepoa.
