COUNTY ELECTIONS.
OHINEMURI COUNTY. The nominations for t,he Ohinemuri County council closed yesterday at noon, and only in the Karangahake Riding will there be a contest. Those nominated are as follows:— Paeroa Riding.—W. F. Johnstpne and F. C. Hubbard. Waitekauri Riding.—H. M. Corbett. Waikino Riding.—S. H. Morgan. Kaimanawa Riding.—A. R. Robinson and G. H. Vowles. Mangalti Riding.—J. Johnson. Waihi Riding;—P. Corbett. Karangahake Riding.—D. McGuire and J. I. Brown. HAURAKI PLAINS. The following nominations have been received for the election of one councillor for each riding of the Hauraki Plains County. Those marked with a star are the present members, but the boundaries of the ridings have now been altered :■— Pipiroa Riding.—E’. C. Marshall, J. W. Neate, *C. W. Parfitt. Waitakaruru Riding.—*C. W. Harris, C. A. Hayward. Horahia Riding.—*W. G. Hayward, W. McDuff. Netherton Riding.—*H. J. Hare, F. T. V. Johnson. Patetonga Riding.—*J. F. Mayn. Ngatea Riding.—*T. McLoughlin. Kopuarahi Riding.—*J. J. Miller. Turua Riding.—W. Madgwick. Kerepeehi Riding.—J. H. Nicholson. Fo’ the three seate on the Thames Hospital Board Messrs H. L. Berney, G. Death, W. E. Hale, H. Johnstone, and A. H. Rogers have been nominated. Mr, W. E. G. Willy has been nominated as the county representative on the Thames Valley Electric Power Board.
