KEREPEEHI. RIVER WORKS. The Kingston dredge, which recently returned from Thames, where thmachinery was fitted, is being completed at Kerepcehi, and, it is understood, will shortly be engaged in improving the river bed. The Priestman dredge has worked its way down to the mouth of the Awaiti, and is now engaged in widening the mouth. This is part of the scheme for making a basin at Keio peehi. The Priestman will next be engaged in widening the river at the slip to enable the 80ft pontoon which is at present nearing completion to be launched. . The land dredge has nearly completed one side of the Puhar.ga canal. The. dredges on the Maukoro and Awaiti canals are still plodding on. Lost. A RT Union Ticket, No 2343.
