S. PAUL’S CHURCH.
SPECIAL SERVICES. GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER DAY. On Good Friday the Offices of Mactins, Litany, and Ante-Communion will be said, beginning at 10’ a.m., and with an address on the “Last Words from .the Cross” at each office. The service will be continuous during the forenoon,, and worshippers who are prevented from being present during the whole time are asked to enter or leave the church during the singing of one of the hymns. At 7.30 P.m. there will be evensong, with sermon, “Bearing the Cross.” On Easter Day the faithful will again have-two opportunities of fulfilling their.. Easter obligation to receive the Blessed Sacrament, which will be celebrated at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m The latter< service will be choral. In the evening, at 7 o’clock, full festal evensong will be sung, with sermon. The anthem will be “King of Kings,” and after the sermon Mr Harold J. Hill, of Auckland, will sing the recitative “He was cut off out of the land of the living” and the aria “But thou did’st not leave Hi?, soul in hell,” from “The Messiah.” >
