Extras were played by Mrs Costello and Miss Laurie, and Miss Tizard assisted with the violin. Mr W. G. Hayward was chairman during the ebneert, and Mr S. Phillips was M.C. for the dance. During the evening Mr C. WSchultz, after a rather peculiar address, presented Mr R. Hemmings, the Methodist minister, who is leaving the district on transfer to Hikurangi, with a cheque as a mark of appreciation of his services. Mr W. G.
