NGATEA. SCHOOL PICNIC. The Ngatea District High School annual picnic, held on Friday last in Mr Perry’s paddock, was without doubt a great success. Members of .the committee and the school staff worked hard, and the children were naturally keen, so the various races were well contested and everything went with a swing. The weather was fine with the exception of a shower in the morning. During the afternoon the weather became threatening, so the distribution of prizes and books was postponed until this afternoon, when an. “at home,’.’ to which all parents are invited,, will be held in the school.
