Mr Lord was standing near a large stack of his, 15yds long by 6yds wide and about 20ft high, and was in the act of lighting his pipe when the head of the match that he was striking flew off, and before he could look round, the stack was burnt to the groundl The stack was not insured. Thanks to the efforts pf some neighbours an ‘adjoining stack was saved.
