HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Hamilton, reports At Hamilton on Tuesday, March 13 we had only a moderate yarding of sheep and cattle, but the pig pens were well filled. Competition for fat sheep was on a par with the previous week, but store sheep dull. F.F.M. ewes sold up to 255; cull ewes 14s ; woolly store lambs (low condition) made to 12s 4d to 13s 3d ; culls 8s 6d : beef was much easier, and a number of lines failed to teach owners’ reserves. Small fat steers made from £5 7s 6d to £5 10s, heavy cows £4 7s 6d to £5 2s 6d, medium weights £3 10s to £4 ss. forward cows £2 13s to £3 7s 6d .
