LAND BOARD VACANCY. • MR. W. G. HAYWARD ELECTED An election to fill one vacancy on the Auckland Land Board was held on Tuesday. The successful candidate was Mr W. G. Hayward, of Ngatea, who received 343 votes.* The unsuccessful candidates, with the number of votes cast for each, were: H F. Andrews, 187 ; J. T. .Young, 78 ; and W. H. Scott, 14.
