WARDEN’S COURT.

MONDAY, MARCH 12. (Before Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M.) At a sitting of the Warden’s Court’, on Monday last certificates of protea 2 .' tion were granted as follows :— H. D. Bedford, for Desert. Gold river claim, for six months : S. A. Shaw,, for Hauraki river claim, for six months ; Si A. Shaw, for G'pldeji Zone claim, for six months ; The Majestic Gold Mining Co., Ltd., for six months on S.Q.C. numbered 8041, 8042, .8134, 8180, 8469, and' 8470. The application was . granted subject to applicants rimploying not less than six men on the several claims. The Maoriland Mines, Ltd. (Mr Jackson), applied for a certificate of protection on S.Q.C. and water race for six months. After hearing the application the Warden said it would be forwarded to the Minister for his favourable consideration.

Applications for residence sites were granted as follows: — J. A. Bunting, sections 32 and 42, Cornes lease, Karangahake, area, two roods. Grace G. .Bunting, sections 38, 39, and 43, Cornes' lease, Karangahake, three roods. R. J. Simpson applied to surrender the mining privilege of residence site license 8239. The application was accepted as from January 17, 1923. Grace G. Bunting’s application to surrender residence site licenses 8033 and 8886 was accepted as from J*anuary 24, 1923. J. A. Bunting’s surrender of mining privilege and residence site license 7452 was accepted as from January 24. 1923. The application of L. D. Nathan, Ltd., to surrender mining privilege on residence sites licenses 8802 and 8803 was accepted.

W. H. Lloyd and Party applied for certificates of reduction, Iwo men for six months, on the Imperial Special claim No. 208.—Granted. N.Z. Crown Mines, Ltd., applied for certificate of reduction for three men on-Earl of Glasgow lease, and also for three meji on the Crown Mines S.Q.C. license No. 587. —Granted for six months.
