MOTHER AND DAUGHTER. LATTER SERIOUSLY INJURED. The Auckland Star of yesterday states that a peculiar and rather serious tram accident occurred in Upper Symonds Street. While a Dominion Road car was proceeding along the street at a fairly rapid pace between East Street and Grafton Bridge two passengers got off from the front platform of the car to the road, and one of them was severely injured. The two people v ere mother anl daughter, Mrs and Miss Maggie Wilson, of Paeroa. Mr G. A. Mrs Wlison was the first to leave the car, which the conductor states was moving, and though she fell she was uninjured. Miss Wilson left the platform immediately afterwards, and was thrown violently to the ground. She was taken to the general hospital by a passing motorist, and ojn the “Star” going to press was in an unconsciou- condition. Her injuries are to the back and head.
