THE CRICKET DANCE.
A VERA SUCCESSFUL EVENING. A very successful dance was held last night in the .Soldiers’ Club under the auspices of the Paeroa Cricket Club. Favoured with good weather, there was a. very good attendance, the hall being well filled. The floor was in spiendid order for dancing. Excellent music was rendered by the wellknown pianist,, Mr E. H. (Brookie) Christian, of Te Kuiti, to whom words of praise cannot do justice, and it was quite a treat dancing to his music, A very nice supper was handed round at 10.30, after which more dancing was indulged in, and everybody enjoyed themselves so much that it was not until the early hours cf this morning that the last dance was announced. The whole arrangements for Are dance were in the hands of the secretary of the Cricket Club, Mr A. Jenkinson, who also carried out the duties of M.C. in a very capable manner.
