N.Z. DAIRY COMPANY.
SUPPLIERS’ COMMITTEES. MEETING AT PAEROA. In the Soldiers’ Club yesterday the quarterly conference of suppliers’ committees, of the N.Z. Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., was held. There was an attendance of nearly forty committeemen, who were presided over by Mr G. Buchanan. Mr E. W. Haie was also present. Mr A. J. Heighway and Mr A. E. Missqn attended on behalf of the company’s management. Mr Heighway dealt fully with the position of the company’s affairs for the past and preserut season so fat as output, shipping, and marketing were concerned. The shipments of both butter'and cheese had been good, and it was hoped that a very satisfactory clearance of stocks would be secured by the end of March. The outlook in the world’s markets was good, and though prices of dairy produce were expected to recede somewhat when the Northern Hemisphere’s manufacture came on the market in a couple of months’ time, it was no] expected that the fluctuations would be serious. Very considerable attention was being devoted by the company to the marketing end of the business, and the beneficial results of operations undertaken were now apparent. A number of subjects affecting the company’s business were dealt with and fully explained to the satisfaction of all present. Votes of thanks to Mr Heighway and the chair concluded the meeting.
