NGATEA. z STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Coheld their usual sale at the Ngatea yards on Monday. There was only a small attendance of buyers, and the quality of the stock was not up to the usual standard, consequently competition was not keen.- The whole of the yarding was, however, sold, either, by auction or by private treaty, at prices that were on a par with those ruling at other sales. Small steers brought £6 14s, heavier £6 17s 6d ; heavy fat cows from £5 to £6„ lighter £3 5s to £4 10s ; store cows 25s to 50s, according to condition and age ; light-weight bulls brought from. 35s to £2 10s, and heavier bulls up to £4. A pen of dairy cows sold at prices ranging from £6 10s to £9.
