ENTERTAINMENTS.
CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. THE GOOD PROVIDER. The companion picture to “Humoresque” is to be presented this evening. It is the Cosmopolitan-Para-mount production, “The Good Provider.” There are very tangible reasons for associating these two pictures, although they differ materially in one respect, that being, whilst “Humoresque” is an epic of motherlove, "The Good Provider” reveals the heart-stirring struggles a father’s affection. will inspire in him for t.he sake of his family. Their similarity is based firstly upon their personnel. Fanny Hurst, author, and Frank Borzage, director, created them; Vera Gordon and Dore Davidson interpret the roles supported by Miriam Battista, the gifted child artist. Secondly, the simple, homely theme in a humble setting, which rises to the greatest heights of sheer life-drama.

TO-NIGHT. “ The Road Demon,” a speedy Tom Mix picture, full of stunts and trick? am) good humour, is to be presented at Kerepeehi to-night.
