PAEROA POST OFFICE.
THE NEW BUILDING. NO DEFINITE ASSURANCE? At last night’s Paeroa Borough Council meeting a letter, was received from the Prime Minister, who wi'ote acknowledging the Council’s request for an assurance that the erection of a new post office building at Paeroa should be proceeded with, during this year. Thu Prime Minister advised that he had conferred with the Postmaster-General, and had to advise the Council that the Department was’ fully aware bf the position, and that there would be no avoidable delay in carrying out the work as opportunity offered, but a definite assurance could not be given that the building would be erected this year. The Postmaster-General also wrote similarly to the Council.
