i We acknowledge the following magazines from Gordon and Gotch, Ltd. “The Green Magazine” for December should find particular favour, as the matter therein deals largely with sport. Crisp short stories, written in a play-the-game vein, are a strong feature of this issue. It is an ideal | magazine for a train journey. j “ The Violet Magazine ” abounds m , short stories by such well-known magazine writers as Win, E. Groves, Effie Slcott, Crichton Miln, etc. The stories are bright and breezy, while the magazine as a whole represents ■ good value. • ' “The Premier” is well up-tp the usual standard, and contains 100 pages of reading matter. Short stories are again a strong feature. It represents value.
