PERSONAL.

The Rev. Father O’Doherty is shortly leaving Thames to take up his residence at Whangarei. Mr H. Lowe, Thames County chairman, who had been laid up for some weeks past, has sufficiently recovered to travel, and passed through Paeroa this morning on his way to Auckland. Mr J. W. Hall, chief clerk to the Government. Printing Office Department, Wellington, has retired from the Government employ after 40 years’ service. Mr Hall joined the office as a youth, and worked himstelf steadily up to the highest clerical position.
