KEBEPEEHL STOCK, SALE. At the Waitakaruru saleyards on Friday last Messrs A. .Buckland and Sons Field their monthly stock sale. There was a good attendance of buyers, and a big yarding of cattle, which sold freely at improved values. Fat bullocks sold at up to £9, and fat cows up to £6. Store cows realised £2, and 2%-year steers. £4. Fat bulls sold freely up to £6. TENNIS. A representative team ifirom the Hopai Tennis Club visited Kerepeehi on Saturday, and after many enjoyable games succeeded in beating the home .team by the big majority of 26 games. The t 'weather was very threatening, but rain did not fall. Nevertheless, many of the Kerepeehi players did not turn up, and the team pu.t forward could, not be considered to represent the true strength of the club. HAURAKI PLAINS RACING CLUB. Although the Racing Committee, which sat in Auckland on Tuesday last, was compelled by the rules governing racing tp turn down an application for registration from the Hauraki Plains Racing Club —as thenracecourse was less than the prescribed distance flrom neighbouring clubs —it is understood that the matter will not be - dropped. When the secretary has been officially notified of the decision further action will be discussed. Several of t.h.e neighbouring clubs have already written, stating that they would not object, but would do what they could to further the project. Officials of the other clubs have given a similar intimation. SPORTS CLUB. As it will now be impossible to hold races at Kerepeehi on Easter Monday, arrangements fqr the annual sports gathering on that date will be pushed ahead. Strenuous efforts will be made to make this year’s sports bigger and better than usual.
