ODDFELLOWS.

LOYAL JUBILEE LODGE. The annual meetign of th® Loyal Jubilee Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was held, in the Centenary Hall on Monday evening, N.G. Bro. V. Carrick presiding. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report was as follows. — It is with great pleasure that we present this report, although not as good as we should like, but still, satisfactory. The various funds show a more or less flourishing condition. The contributions of members to the Sick and Funeral Fund were not sufficient to meet the sick pay this year,'but. as our district has the Consolidation 01 tihe S. and F. Funds we were able to get sufficient money, thus showing the great benefit of consolidation. The management fund has gone back owJng to the Lodge holding fortnightly ’meetings, vice monthly, which increased, rent, and also expense in furnishing our new lodge room. The distress fund, though not great, is sufficient at. present to meet requirements, although donations will bn gratefully received. The surplus is not yet available, but we have received advice that, all necessary steps have been taken .to secure the money. Only two members took advantage of the maternity bonus. Some, we believe, missed it. t The membership shows the jest progress this year. Starting at 46, it has increased to &5-15 new members, two left by clearance, six struck oil for arrears, and 1 death. We woull specially point out the number who have seceded by arrears. It behove., every member to do his utmost to get new members into the Lodge an: to do', all he possibly can to keep them there. It is with regret that we have to record the death of the late PasGrand Bro. Thomas Hargreaves, who was accidently drowned at Mangaiti early in the year. P.G. Hargreaves served two terms in the various chairs, at a time during the war, when it was hard' to get a meeting. He was a stalwart supporter of the Lodge at all times, and we tender our heartfelt sympathy to the relatives. A social was held during the year, but was not the success we should have liked. An attempt was made to start a Lodge at Ngatea, but it fell through.

We have attempted to form one at Hikutaia, and hope for better success. The District Officers visited us during the year and expressed satisfaction with the working of the Lodge. We tender our best thanks to ibe local Press for bringing Oddfellowship to the forefront at various times. On .the motion of Bro. O. A. Stembridge, 1.M.P., seconded by Bro. P. •Morrison, the .report, and balancesheet were adopted. OFFICE BEARERS. Bro. R. Phillips was .elected a trustee. The secretary (Bro. W. North) and the treasurer (Bro. C. E. J. Gwilliam) were re-elected. Bros. R. Johns and W. T. Power ■were elected auditors. SECRETARY’S WORK. Several of those present referred to the excellent manner in which the secretary (Bro. W. North) had always carried out his work, and a motion was passed voicing the Lodge s appreciation thereof.
