The N.Z. Meat Producers’ Board has forwarded the following reply to cables recently received from the British Incorporated Society of Meat Importers, London, relative to the question of the retention of kjdneys in lambs :
“In reply to your cables, are you aware that the Board had already endeavoured to meet the position oy allowing freezing companies to remove kidneys and kidney fat. from heavy lambs, and also from any other lambs containing too much kidneyfat, should they fe’o desire ?
“Certain freezing companies ignored the Board’s wishes in the matter and continued taking out kidneys from all lambs, including light lambs and second-class.
“Considering the number of lambs of all weights which have already gone forward for years, cannot understand your concern about ta.iht.”
